Surabaya became the center of digital collaboration between Indonesia and Korea in a Smart city forum with PT KIG participation
9 May 2025 - Hosted by the collaboration between Diskominfo Surabaya, Kinarya Cipta Kreasi, and KOTRA Surabaya, this forum also received full support from the ministry of communication, ministry of home affairs, BSSN, and multiple digital development partners.
In this forum, PT KIG participated as a part of the industrial partner that fully support digital transformation in the context of Industrial estate development based on technology and the concept of smart city.
The director of Diskominfo Surabaya, M Fikser, emphasized that the event would become an important momentum to strengthen the synergy across multiple regions in the effort to develop digital infrastructure, public literation improvement, and increasing cyber security.
“The digital transformation is not just an agenda from the central government but also our responsibility with the inclusion of local government and industry partners. The goal is to improve the living standards of the people through an adaptive smart city” quoted from M Fikser, Wednesday (7/5/2025).
The forum is also a place of businesses to meet up the needs and potentials as well as opening up investment opportunities and collaboration across multiple nations through the development of smart cities in Indonesia.
